Q: How long has Ideal Home Improvement been in business?
A: Since 1999.

Q: You say that you will beat any conpetitor by at least 10%, does this mean an inferior product?
A: No, our products are as good or better then our competitors. We can offer you a better price simply because   we are a small company with low overhead and all work is performed by the owner.

Q: Do you have a show room?
A: No, our design consultant will go to your house with a variety of samples. He will measure your cabinets and give you an estimate on site.

Q: Do you have references?
A: Upon request a list of customers will be provided. Or visit our online testimonials section.

Q: How does the cost compare to new cabinets?
A: In most cases it is at least half the cost of new quality cabinets.

Q: Do you have a contractor's license?
A: Yes.

Q: Do you carry liability insurance and workers compensation?
A: Yes.

Q: Are you a member of Better Business Bureau (BBB)?
A: Yes.

Q: How long does it take to complete the job?
A: In most cases between 2 to 5 days, depending on the size of your kitchen.

Q: When can you start?
A: The average time span from the signing of the contract to the starting of the job is between 4 to 6 weeks. If you have special circumstances, please let us know and we will try our best to accommodate.

Q: Do I have to empty my cabinets?
A: Yes, we strongly recommend that all cabinets be emptied out.

Q: Do you use subcontractors?
A: No, all work is done by our own crew and supervised by the owner.

Q: Do you absolutely have to replace my existing doors and drawer fronts?
A: Yes, it is part of the refacing process.

Q: What do I receive when my kitchen is refaced?
A: After we reface your existing cabinets to match the door you choose from our wide selection, you receive new top-quality doors and drawer fronts, new matching molding, new optional maple wood drawer boxes that are finished inside and out, with new side mount slides.

Q: Will the new surface of my cabinets be easy to take care of?
A: Yes, to clean your cabinets, a damp cloth and mild detergent are all you will need. No waxing or polishing is necessary. If you get something that is tough to remove, you can use an over the counter kitchen cleaning product such as 409 to remove it. If it's still stubborn, you can use an over the counter paint remover. We recommend the product called Oops.
The doors and cabinets are practically stain resistant.

Q: Is there much mess and inconvenience with refacing?
A: Very little, because at the end of each day we clean up any mess associated with the refacing process.

Q: Did you say add extra cabinets or alterations? Can I do that?
A: Yes, as long as we're refacing your cabinets, we can make any alterations needed. We can alter your cabinets to accept a new microwave hood, or alter your cook space from a worn out drop-in stove to a brand new freestanding one. We can add cabinets where needed also.
